A UK-based woman identified as Debirah has taken to social media to share her experience with Nigerian singer and hypeman Segun Johnson, alleging that he abruptly ended their 13-year relationship.

 

In a video circulating online, Debirah recounted how the long-term relationship came to an unexpected end shortly after she made a major life decision at his request.

 

According to her, she had been living independently in the UK before Segun Johnson persuaded her to relocate to Nigeria so they could build a future together. She admitted she was initially reluctant, as she did not want to become dependent on him, but eventually agreed.

 

Upon her arrival, she said the singer welcomed her warmly—gifting her a necklace and celebrating his birthday with her—giving her the impression they were finally ready to settle down after years of ups and downs.

 

However, she claimed things took a turn just weeks later. After Johnson returned from a trip to the UK, she noticed a money-counting machine in his possession. When she asked about it, he allegedly told her it was a gift from another woman.

 

Debirah further alleged that upon checking his phone, she discovered he had been in a relationship with the said woman for about a year. She claimed that when confronted, the singer showed little remorse.

 

Instead of meeting her in person, she said he ended the relationship via a voice note, stating that he wanted to move on with someone else and that “now is the time,” citing his age as a factor.

 

She questioned why he would ask her to leave her life abroad and make such a significant sacrifice, only to end the relationship shortly after.

 

As of now, Segun Johnson has not publicly responded to the allegations.
