Uchenna Kanu Models Racing Louisville’s New Kit Ahead of 2025 NWSL Season
Nigeria forward Uchenna Kanu was among the Racing Louisville players who unveiled the club’s new kit ahead of the 2025 National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) season.
The former Sevilla attacker showcased the fresh, bold look of the Nike “Roots Kit,” which features a deep green hue symbolizing the club’s connection to the Louisville community. The design also incorporates pressed lilies, a nod to the fleur-de-lis on Racing’s crest.
To launch the kit, Racing defender Lauren Milliet took it into nature at Cherokee Park in collaboration with Trees Louisville, a nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the city’s tree canopy. Milliet has led tree-planting campaigns at several local schools and churches, contributing to 100 new trees in the area, with more to come.
As a tribute to Racing’s foundation and identity, the phrase “Run With Us” is printed on a Pride Mark near the bottom of the jersey, referencing the club’s original motto.
Racing Louisville will continue wearing the argyle-patterned “Winner’s Circle Kit” as its primary uniform for the 2025 season. Kanu and her teammates are expected to debut the new Roots Kit in their NWSL season opener against North Carolina Courage on March 15.
