President Bola Tinubu commended Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, for transforming the FCT through infrastructure development. Despite being a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Wike's performance may give the All Progressives Congress (APC) an advantage in the 2027 elections.

At a traditional Sallah homage to mark the end of Ramadan, President Tinubu praised Wike's initiatives, which have improved the lives of Abuja residents. He described Wike as "Mr. Infrastructure" and thanked him for his progressive ideas and collaboration.

President Tinubu highlighted Wike's achievements, including:

- Opening up rural areas
- Completing abandoned projects
- Upgrading health facilities and schools
- Improving security and reducing hunger

The President emphasized the importance of diversity and prosperity, stating that Wike's work in the FCT is a reflection of Nigeria's diversity and potential for growth.
