Adebayo Gbadebo, a Nigeria born Coach in Thailand has furiously expressed frustration with Super Eagles performances in the ongoing USA/Canada/Mexico 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification series, submitting that it was all a result of lack of proper preparations, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

Gbadebo spoke to Exclusivenews.com.ng from his base in Bangkok, moments after the Eagles laboured to yet another 1-1 draw against the Warriors of Zimbabwe in the match decided in Butare, Rwanda.

He described the result as 'poor', adding that he was not surprised because it was obvious the Super Eagles 'lacked proper preparation going into the games.

"Another poor result and performance by Super Eagles", Gbadebo, a former Stationery Stores FC, Lagos midfielder began in a most disappointing tone.

"Not a surprise as I have already said after our previous match against Lesotho, especially when I saw the Coach defending 'failure'.

"The summary of what we are watching now is Lack of Proper Preparation.

Proper preparation prevents poor performance on big stages such as in World Cup qualifiers.

"To be candid, the coach and all the officials must be convinced by now that they did not prepare enough technically for the last two matches".

On Thursday in Uyo, Super Eagles came from behind to salvage a point from a 153 ranked Crocodiles of Lesotho.

Amidst the hues and cries that followed that dismally showing, Coach Peseiro stoutly eulogised his wards, praising that for enjoying 76% possession even without making that count.

Three days later, (Sunday) in Butare, Rwanda, Super Eagles again fell behind  midway into the first half and needed a second half strike by Kelechi Iheanacho to come to par with the Zimbabwean Warriors.

These two poor results have forced many to begin to question the capability of the present team and their officials to actualize Nigerians seventh FIFA World Cup finals qualification capabilities.

"Without prejudice, many players in the team haven't been playing regularly in their different clubs", Gbadebo pointed out.

"Team formation and players combination is another. We aren't good in set pieces. For instance, Super Eagles played over 20 corner kicks against Lesotho but Lesotho scored against the Eagles with one out of the two corner kicks they had. And you begin to wonder if the Eagles coaches factor these into their training program moreso when we have tall players".

Peseiro has continued to receive harsh criticisms over his insistence on Francis Uzoho is Super Eagles number one shot-stopper despite his obvious short comings following his alleged freeze out from Omonia of Cyprus regular team.

"We saw a 35-yard drive from Zimbabwean player sail leisurely into our net today (Sunday) in Butare", Gbadebo noted sadly.
