The 19th edition of the Lagos Supremacy Cup is set to welcome 10 international scouts, who have received visas to participate in the event. Among them is Cem Sagar, the expatriate coordinator and head of Diamond Sports Management, who will be accompanied by nine other scouts.

The confirmed scouts include notable names such as Dan Smejkal, Tomas Syrovatka, Pape Cissokho, Toni Bilandzic, Dennys Dilettosso, Nenad Sarcevic, Zdenek Mikyska, Jan Prosek, and Florin Biba.

Scheduled to take place from November 27th to 30th at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, the tournament will feature some of Nigeria's top grassroots football teams.

Cem Sagar emphasized the tournament's objective, stating, "Our goal is to discover talent and promote them to European markets. This is why nine additional scouts have been confirmed for the event."

Hajji Olawale Liameed Gafar, Chairman of the Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) and Chief Convener of the tournament, explained the unique match format. Each game will consist of two 30-minute halves, with no offside rule, to ensure uninterrupted play and maximize scoring opportunities.

Gafar highlighted the tournament's importance in expanding opportunities for youth footballers in Nigeria. He noted that while only 69 players can represent Nigeria's U-15, U-17, and U-20 national teams in any generation, there are over one million active semi-professional players in the country.

"The Lagos Supremacy Cup aims to provide a platform for these players. The 10 participating teams, including defending champions Dino FC, Ikorodu City FC, Broad City FC, and Real Sapphire FC, were carefully selected based on their history of identifying and nurturing talent," he said.

Other teams participating in the tournament are Beyond Limits FC, Seamoriow FC, 36 Lion, Bethel FC, MS Success FC, and Charlesann FC.
