It was an array of talent discovery and unforgettable experiences for players and all stakeholders inside the Moshood Abiola National Stadium as 6th edition of Nigeria Criket Federation/Price Corper Water National championship came to an end in grandstyle

Though there was a great improvemnet from other zones but the South-South male and female teams showed sheer dominance in the competition, winning all their games and eventually claimed the titles.

It was their sixth consecutive victory in the girls’ event and fourth fifth in the boys’ event at the NCF/PwC tournament where more talent were discovered.

South South Male cricket team showed supremacy over the South West counterpart  as South East Came third place 

Earlier, in the female category, South  South Female cricket team refused to release the trophy to another zone by beating South East cricket team to win the tournament for six consecutive times.

Speaking after the event, the President of NCF Mr Uyi Akpata lauded the sponsor l, the Price hooper Cooper sponsorship for giving mileage to Development of Cricket Federation in the country.

"For the Federation itself,there's positive and impovemwnt of the tournament You know when you look back in six years down the road and you can see from the quality of play this year, the standard has just been a high.
"And I think for a reason or the other, I believe the success of the 19 girls in Malaysia helpall the players that we've seen today 

"It shows that all around development this country is working and that's the primary aim of this tournament. I think all around the country are beginning to see that kind of competitive nature. Everybody coming together.

So I'm really super excited."

In his remarked, the representative of PwC Mr Tolu Adeleke expressed that thetournaments has produced a lot of new talent that will represent Nigeria at any national and international competitions. 

According to him, today the final was the climax, and I think it was the final between the south-south and the southwest. I mean, there was a particular boy, a very young boy whenhe was going in, I think it was the last set.
"He went in with a lot of focus and determination to help his team. I mean, at last the team didn't win, but it wasn't about winning every time. It was about that participation and showing that enthusiasm.
"And I think it's been very great overall, and we're happy. We're excited that we can discover more talent, and I'm sure that the tournaments has produced a lot of new talent. 

"That will hopefully fit into the next set of the under-19 team for boys and girls, and they can't carry on to the senior team."
