The vociferous Onitsha branch of Rangers Supporters Club have heaped plaudits on the Amobi Ezeaku, following his recent appointment as the General Manager/Chief Executive Officer, GM/CEO, of the Coal City Flying Antelopes by the Enugu State Government, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

Amobi, a lawyer by profession, was a former Team Manager of Rangers before he stepped down a couple of seasons ago.

Last week, the Governor Peter Mbah led Governor of Enugu State announced him as the substantive General Manager of the club, succeeding Davidson Owumi as the new Flying Antelopes helmsman.

Now, the Onitsha chapter of Tangers Supporters Club have voiced their total support for his appointment, saying he's the right man to lead the club at this point in time.

Jude Belonwu, Spokesman for the Onitsha branch of the Rangers Drummer Boys, says the government indeed put eyes into clean water in selecting 'the right man for the Rangers job' this time around.

"Come to think of it; Amobi is experienced on the job having worked with NFF (where he did his Youth Service) before joining Rangers as TM.

"He has equally undergone several trainings under FIFA. And above all, he's returning to a familiar terrain. He knows Rangers inside-out, the politics and dynamics of the game and we strongly believe these will count positively for Rangers in the coming season", Belonwu said.
