Super Falcons Goalkeeper Promises Cash Reward for Rivers Angels
Super Falcons goalkeeper Tochukwu Oluehi has promised to reward her former team, Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt, if they win the 2024 President FA Cup on Saturday.
Oluehi, who currently plays for Eastern Flames FC in the Saudi Arabian Women's League, made this pledge during an interview with Gongnews.net after training with the team at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, the venue for the cup final.
"I told them that if they win, I will gift them something tangible," she said. "I also trained with them to encourage them to go out and win for the state. I know the rewards that come with winning a trophy for Rivers State, so I want to motivate them to do well."
During her time with Rivers Angels, Oluehi won both the league and the FA Cup, securing the FA Cup titles in 2017 and 2018 and the league title in 2019, before moving abroad to further her career.
Oluehi's thirst for international experience has seen her enjoy successful stints in Belarus, Norway, Spain, and Israel. She is currently playing in the Saudi Arabian League.
She has also competed in three FIFA World Cups and the Summer Olympic Games, bringing a wealth of experience, dedication, and remarkable goalkeeping skills to inspire the team’s aspirations
