It was a moment of excitement and joy as Sunshine stars Captain Abe Sunday received accolades and honour by Remo stars Technical Adviser , Daniel Ogunmodede shortly before the kickoff of matchday 37 South West derby at the Ondo state sports complex.

Abe Sunday, one of the longest serving professionals in the elite league received souvenirs from Ogunmodede to the admiration of fans , the moment was greeted with applause from the crowd .

Abe Sunday a legend in the Elite league started his professional career in 2002.

Abe played all the 2007 Africa U-17 qualifiers under late coach, Yemi Tella but missed going to the World Cup because of an  injury. 

He played under Ladan Bosso at the U-20 Nations Cup where we won bronze. 

Abe Sunday also played under Samson Siasia at  the U-20 World Cup. 

He was part of  the Junior World Cup in Egypt. 

_Olu omo_ as he is fondly called traveled to  Europe, specifically to Albania where he joined   Tueta FC. 

He was there from 2017 to 2018 on a year loan deal.

Abe Sunday almost signed for Real Madrid in 2008 having received an offer moments after the U20 world cup qualifiers .
