I have read so many things  about the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) especially about what has been left undone and how to do it properly.

I read very brilliant ideas that have capacity to turn around the Nigeria Premier  Football League (NPFL). Brilliant ideas. 

I have also read from some people about the outright condemnation of the leadership of the current NPFL. I think we are being unfair to them. We owe the Board some commendations. Why?
Our Football League has been in a state of comatose for many years. Some people took it upon themselves to improve the League and indeed we are perceiving the improvement. I felt that we should all put our hands to the plough to support the effort in so many ways. Some stakeholders are already doing it in form of presentation of quality ideas. This is commendable. However, I have observed that there seems to be deliberate and calculated attempts aimed at orchestrating the effort being made by the NPFL as failure. This scenario I see as an evolving contest between *Distractions* and *Progress* .
You can describe it as Team Distractions versus Team Progress.

We have highly cerebral people in Nigeria whose intellectual capacity packaged into one effort for any particular cause will give you the best results in the World. Rather than using these great endowments for collective progress, we are allowing ego to prevail through *fault finding* instead of *providing solutions.*

Let me tell us something, if we decide to strip naked in terms of self assessment or evaluation, some of us will be ashamed of ourselves. It will not be far from the truth to discover that the best of critics on various platforms may be guilty of running their areas of service in Football poorly. Some of them may own Clubs where players and officials are not paid salaries. Some could be football agents or intermediaries who short change players and grassroots Clubs of their legitimate entitlements from players transfer. Some could be gate crashers who as politicians or accidental football administrators are only looking for where the vegetation is green in order to graze sufficiently. A lot of misfits are in the Football ecosystem who shouldn't have been allowed opportunity into football at any level. That's where we are.

I wish to counsel those of us with good intentions and talents to channel our divinely endowed cerebral capacities properly.

What must we do? Let us not be hasty in comparing the Nigerian Football League to the standards obtainable in the developed Football Leagues. No miracle will take us to the levels of the developed Leagues instantaneously. We must be deliberate, calculated by moving in stages to the levels we wish to attain. That is why I align with the efforts of the Leadership of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) and by extension the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) towards the realization of our collective objectives. Let me add here that I am not a lobbyist working for personal material gains. I only go to the Nigeria Football Federation Secretariat when there is something official as a Football Administrator I need to do there.
I will also not fail to stand against anything that the Leadership of NFF and NPFL is doing that may not be  the collective interest of Football Stakeholders.

Finally, let us allow our Premier League which has been witnessing a downward trend and is now on the path of upward growth get the required enabling environment and support for more growth and development.

Let us criticize constructively, give our quality contributions, do away with distractions and let us all collectively pursue progress.
