The Super Eagles of Nigeria defeated the Mambas of Mozambique 4-0 in their Second Round match of AFCON 2025. I expected the usual celebration in the Super Eagles camp. Instead of celebration, it was altercations and silence. Why? I ask you also.

Whatever may be the reason or reasons, I really don't have the details. What is prevalent is that Victor Osimhen spoke harsh words to Ademola Lookman. Harsh words, insults or whatever it may be has become one of the things that happened among the Super Eagles at the African Cup of Nations in Morocco.

We all know that the Super Eagles of Nigeria are in Morocco to participate in AFCON and to win it. Other things are secondary. You didn't pass the ball to me. You don't want me to win the Highest Goal Scorer of AFCON. You want to be more popular. You want to prove that you are the best. I want to win African Footballer of the Year again (Thank God Osimhen and Lookman fall in this category). These are my assumptions. If my assumptions happened to be the trigger of the Crisis or Crises instead of Celebration, it's indeed a very unfortunate development.
What matters to Nigeria and Nigerians is the victory and further determination towards lifting the AFCON.

Let us put aside ego or selfish pursuits that could be a HUGE DISTRACTION to the good results recorded so far by the Super Eagles.

Let me remind the Super Eagles that they are on the path of redeeming the sad occurrence during the World Cup qualification where they boycotted training instead of being completely focused on the tasks ahead. This altercation between Osimhen and Lookman could be a big distraction. *Why una dey quarrel sef?* 

Where are the Elders in the House? I believe the NFF has swiftly intervened. I believe that Coach Eric Chelle is on top of the situation. Let the players also talk to themselves and resolve it amicably or else .........
This intervention  is for the good of the Super Eagles and the interest of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
