Solution FC On Screening For Recruitment Of Players Starts Wednesday, September 6 In Awka
BY SAB OSUJI
Anambra State Government team, Solution FC, has revealed it will commence recruitment of players for its debut in the Nigeria National League for the 2023/2024 season on Wednesday, September 6, with an open screening, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.
The screening exercise, Exclusivenews.com.ng understands, will last for one week.
In August, 'General' Chikelue Iloenyosi, Chairman, Anambra State Football Association, told reporters he's received Executive approval from the state government to birth a state owned and sponsored football team.
Hitherto, Anambra and Ebonyi, had been the only states in the South East without a state sponsored football club.
Apparently in a bold bid to match words with action, the hierarchy of Solution FC has announced it would commence aggressive recruitment of professional players from September 6.
"The week-long screening exercise will hold from Wednesday, 6th to Wednesday, 13th September 2023 at the Awka City Stadium, Awka, Anambra State by 7am each day", the club said in a statement on Monday, September 4.
The club, in the statement, made it explicitly clear that the exercise is absolutely free of charge.
"The screening exercise is free and conforms with all football guidelines geared towards recruiting young, talented and experienced footballers of Anambra extraction and beyond for our dear State Professional Football Club, Solution FC".
It is not yet clear who the officials of the Solution FC are or even the coach.
But checks by Exclusivenews.com.ng reveal that coaches have been interviewed and shortlisted with the successful one invited to Government House, Awka, on Tuesday apparently for negotiation and official appointment formalities.
It was also scooped that camp site has already been acquired for the Solution FC players.
