Kicker Football Club of Abuja, currently competing in Division Two of the FCT FA League, has issued a stern warning to underperforming players: improve or risk being dropped.

Speaking to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday, the club’s Sporting Director, Dare Adesomo, made it clear that performance expectations must be met given the club’s substantial investment in its development.

"We’ve put significant resources into building this team, and we expect results. Any player who fails to deliver will be shown the exit," Adesomo said.

The warning follows Kicker FC’s dominant 8-1 win over Uziah Sports FC on Monday — a much-needed result after two consecutive draws. Adesomo praised the team for executing tactical plans effectively and emphasized the importance of consistency moving forward.

"This victory is a big step for us, but we need to build on it. We’ve been testing different formations, including a 3-5-2, to find the best approach and assess our players' strengths," he added.

Kicker FC’s next challenge is against A.C.E Football Club on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Old Parade Ground, Area 10, Abuja. Their final group-stage match will be played on July 18 at 11 a.m. against Fine Trust Academy at the Area 3 pitch.
