Seyi Tinubu Urges Nigerians to Back Father’s Reforms Amid Economic Hardship
Seyi Tinubu has called on Nigerians to remain hopeful and continue supporting the administration of his father, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, despite prevailing economic challenges.
In a viral video circulating on social media, Seyi expressed confidence in the President’s leadership, stating that the country is being steered in a new and unprecedented direction.
“We’re asking you all to have faith in Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu. He is already driving this country in a direction this country has never seen,” he said.
He also revealed his personal commitment to praying for his father’s success in office and expressed optimism about a possible second term.
“I continue to pray for his life, continue to pray for his second term,” he added.
Defending the administration’s policies, Seyi noted that the President has chosen to confront long-standing structural challenges rather than ignore them.
“This is a man who has come in and has seen cracks, instead of just trying to pass by and waiting for the cracks to continue to spread, he’s actually trying to fix it,” he stated.
According to him, the ongoing reforms are aimed at laying a solid foundation for future generations, even if they come with short-term difficulties.
“So that way, when it’s our own time, we don’t have to fix a crack. We’ll live in a house that is well built, with a great foundation, and a great legacy for our children,” he said.
However, the administration’s policies—particularly the removal of petrol subsidy—have triggered a rise in the cost of living across Nigeria, with many citizens expressing concern over increasing hardship and poverty levels.
Despite these concerns, Seyi maintained that the reforms are necessary steps toward building a stronger and more sustainable economy for the country.
