Roosa Ariyo Joins Chinese Super League Side Jiangsu FC

Finnish-born Nigerian forward Roosa Ariyo Funmilayo has signed with Chinese Super League club Jiangsu FC for the 2025 season.
The 30-year-old striker makes the move from Finnish club KuPS, where she scored 13 goals in 21 league appearances over two seasons.
Ariyo has enjoyed a diverse career, featuring for Finnish sides Honka, Jitex, and TiPS before stints in Spain’s Liga F with UDG Tenerife (now Costa Adeje Tenerife) and Real Betis. She also played for Club Brugge in Belgium before returning to Finland in 2023.
After representing Finland at the U-20 level, Ariyo switched allegiance to Nigeria, making her senior debut in the Super Falcons’ 1-0 friendly loss to Jamaica.
Now set for a new chapter in China, Ariyo will look to make her mark in the highly competitive league.
