Veteran Nollywood actor Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) has revealed his aversion to being called a legend during his appearance on the Curiosity Made Me Ask podcast.

The 63-year-old actor described the title as a "scam" and expressed that he doesn't see himself in that category. Instead, he identified true legends as veterans like Pete Edochie and Olu Jacobs, whom he considers "ancestors" of the industry.

"I have been watching him (Olu Jacobs) when he was saying 'Ribena children are the healthy children,'" RMD recalled. "I don't subscribe to being called legend and when they call me that, I feel they are trying to relegate me to the neighborhood of retired people or those nearing retirement."

RMD, who began his acting career in 1982, remains active in the Nigerian film industry despite his distinguished four-decade career.
