Rangers Coach Ilechukwu Blames Draw on Underestimating Akwa United

Rangers head coach Fidelis Ilechukwu admitted that his team underestimated Akwa United after their league clash ended in a draw.
Osoba Kabir gave the visitors the lead in the 24th minute, but Isaac Savour’s second-half penalty ensured Rangers salvaged a point.
Speaking after the match, Ilechukwu expressed disappointment with his team’s performance.
“I think we did not put in our best in the first half, maybe due to Akwa United’s position on the log, and it nearly cost us the match,” he said. “It is quite unfortunate that what we expected was not what we saw in the game. I feel my players underrated our opponent. This result is a very big setback to the team’s ambition.”
Rangers, the defending champions, currently sit fifth on the table with 42 points.
