French giants Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have confirmed the signing of Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade on a two-year contract, marking a significant addition to their women’s squad ahead of the new season.

 

The 24-year-old Nigerian forward joins the Parisian side after four impressive years at Atlético de Madrid, where she established herself as one of the top attacking talents in Spanish football. Her contract with the Spanish club expired earlier this summer, paving the way for her move to the French capital.

 

Speaking after sealing the move, Ajibade expressed her enthusiasm and determination:

Her standout performances earned her the coveted Player of the Tournament award, cementing her status as one of Africa’s brightest football stars.

 

Her arrival strengthens PSG’s ambitions as they seek to reclaim the Ligue 1 Féminine title, which they last won in 2021. She will link up with compatriot Jennifer Echegini, adding further depth and flair to the club’s attacking options.
