Promise Nwachukwu, a former Nigeria junior international and current General Manager of Heartland FC, Owerri, has emerged as the new Coordinator of Nigeria Premier League Club Owners Associatiin, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

Nwachukwu replaces former Coordinator and ex Enyimba of Aba Sporting Director, Jude Anyadifu.

The fair-skinned Heartland boss who entered the record books as second manager of the Naze Millionaires to successfully steer the ship of the five-time league winners back to the top flight after one season in the second tier league, was Tuesday elected by the body of the club owners at an Elective Congress held at Sandralia Hotel, Jabi, Abuja, the nation's capital.

Chief Okey Kpalukwu, General Manager of Rivers United emerged as the Chairman of the Club Owners. He Replaces Barrister Isaac Danladi, who has assumed a new role with his employers, Nasarawa State Government, where he now serves as the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Sports.

Doma United Chairman will serve as Vice Chairman to Chief Kpalukwu while veteran journalist, Godwin Enarkhina was voted as Secretary. Enarkhina, who is also Chairman of newly promoted Sporting Lagos FC, steps into the big shoes vacated by former Secretary and also sports journalist, Chief Alloy Chukwuemeka who also doubles as General Manager of ABSIlorin FC.

Enakhena will be assisted by Rangers General Manager and Chief Executive Officer, CEO, Barrister Amobi Ezeaku.

The event which took place at the Sandralia Hotel in Abuja today also saw the emergence of new Rangers CEO Amobi Ezeaki as Assistant Secretary of the body.

Exclusivenews.com.ng checks reveal that it's been a long track to sports managerial stardom for the lanky Heartland boss, Promise Nwachukwu.

Having aassisted Emeka Iwuagwu at Heartland in the capacity of Assistant Team Manager during the reign of Chief Ignatius Okehialam as Heartland Chairman, Nwachukwu was later to step up to the role of Team Manager under Chief Fan Ndubuoke, lifting the Aiteo/NFF Cup back-to-back in 2011 and 2012.

He also won the Super Cup twice with the club during the period, making it five trophies wthin two years their tenure lasted.

The lanky Manager was soon to become the Sporting Manager of Heartland before the latest feather to his cap in the mold of the General Coordinator of the Club Owners responsibility on his shoulders.

Before his elevation to the status of General Manager of Heartland in 2021, Nwachukwu served as General Coordinator of the five-time league winners.
