Police Catch Two Sisters, Husband and Wife for Fake Kidnap to Collect ₦5m From Papa

FCT Police Command don arrest four people — two sisters and one married couple — for allegedly plan fake kidnapping to collect ₦5 million from di sisters’ papa.

 

Di matter start when Mr Innocent, wey dey live for Jikwoyi Phase II, report say im 16-year-old daughter, Lead Way Innocent, disappear on July 18, 2025. E talk say di girl comot house go write exam for Government Secondary School, Karu, but she no return.

 

Soon after, Mr Innocent get call from unknown people wey demand ₦5 million ransom to release her.

 

FCT Police tokperson, SP Josephine Adeh, talk for statement on Tuesday say police use intelligence and digital tracking trace di phone number wey call di papa reach one house for Jikwoyi Phase II. When dem storm di place, dem see Lead Way dey relax with Mrs Tina Mayowa, wife of Mr Mayowa Adedeji — dem dey chop and gist, no sign of kidnap.

 

Further investigation show say Lead Way, her elder sister Joy Innocent, and Mayowa (wey be Joy boyfriend) plan di fake abduction. Joy pretend say she no know, while her sister dey hide.

 

CP Ajao Adewale call di act serious betrayal and advise parents to monitor pikin behaviour well. All suspects don confess and go face court after investigation.
