After more than 180 days away from the field, Nigeria’s Super Falcons defender Ashleigh Plumptre has made a successful return to action with Al-Ittihad.

Plumptre had been sidelined due to injury and was unavailable for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. However, she stepped back onto the pitch late Sunday evening in a match against Al-Ula, playing a crucial role in her team’s 1-0 victory.

“Hey, Al-Ittihad fans! I’m thrilled to be back, and even happier with the win and the clean sheet. Thank you for all your support,” Plumptre expressed in a post-match video.
