Content creator Peller has responded to critics who questioned his decision to buy a car for his girlfriend, Jarvis.

 

The social media personality said the gesture was not meant to pressure Jarvis to remain in the relationship, but simply because he believed she deserved it.

 

Addressing the backlash, Peller explained that he was prepared for criticism regardless of the type of car he purchased.

 

“I didn’t buy Jarvis a car just so she can stay with me; she deserves it. My mom wanted a Toyota worth N9 million, but I bought her a Hyundai worth N20 million instead. People would still have dragged me even if I’d bought her the N9 million Toyota,” he said.

 

Peller questioned why the gesture had generated so much controversy, noting that buying gifts for a partner is not unusual.

 

“Am I the first person to buy his girlfriend a car? I love my baby. I don’t care if she leaves me later,” he added.

 

He further stated that he would continue to support Jarvis, revealing that he would do even more for her if they eventually have a child together.

 

“If Jarvis gives me a child, I’ll do even more than this,” he said.
