Ahead of the women’s football event at the Paris 2024 Olympics, where the Super Falcons are in Group C with Brazil, Spain and Japan, Chiamaka Nnadozie says Falcons are unfazed by public opinion.

According to KT Press, Nnadozie, the reliable safe hands of the Super Falcons insisted that Nigeria will repeat what happened at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup  hosted by Australia and New Zealand.

Nigeria’s Super Falcons were very formidable and shocked the world  to qualify from a group that compromised Australia, Canada and Ireland.

“This grouping is reminiscent of the last World Cup. We were pitted against Canada, England, and Australia, and no one believed in us; they thought we were mere participants. But we possess a team that is unfazed by public opinion,” Nnadozie said at LIS Event on Tuesday.

“We are mentally and physically fortified, comprising both young, talented players and seasoned veterans competing in elite European leagues and beyond.”

“While the unpredictable nature of football precludes definitive statements, our resolve is unwavering. We are fully prepared and aspire to make the nation proud. Our accomplishments at the last World Cup were just the beginning. At the Olympics, we aim to advance beyond the group stage.”

Super Falcons will start her campaign against Brazil on Thursday, 25th July, 2026. (TotoriNews)
