“Our Target Is The NNL Super 8 Play Off”…Osun United Head Coach 

Osun United’s head coach, Oluseye Ajayi, has made it clear that his primary goal for the season is securing a spot in the NNL Super 8 Playoff. The Osogbo-based club narrowly missed out on qualification last season, falling short on the final day of the campaign. However, Ajayi is confident that his team has what it takes to achieve their objective this time around.

    “We missed the Super 8 last season on the last day of the league. But we are very determined and focused towards actualizing that this season. We are well motivated, and the boys are fully aware of the task ahead,” he stated.

A former Shooting Stars (3SC) and Julius Berger forward who also played in Oman before retiring, Ajayi has been impressed with his squad’s performance this season. He praised their high level of concentration and tactical awareness, which has reflected in their results.

Osun United currently sit second in the NNL Conference A standings, having won six of their nine matches, drawing one, and losing two. The team has also shown strength away from home, securing two crucial victories on the road, including their recent 2-1 win over Sporting Lagos, a former NPFL side.

With 11 goals scored and only 5 conceded, Osun United remain in a strong position to push for a place in the Super 8 as the season progresses.
