Fatai Osho has resigned as the Technical Adviser of Akwa United of Uyo. 

 Osho who confirmed this to Exclusivenews.com.ng said he decided to throw in the towel in the interest of the team. 

The Promise Keepers have struggled under Osho’s tutelage this season. The former Federation Cup champions have recorded three wins in 14 league matches this season .

 
Osho said the team has been playing well, but inability to convert created chance has been their undoing. "We lost most of our strikers to injury or transfer. It has been difficult to find replacement now, until the mid-season or when those that are injured recovered. I wish the team the best of luck, Akwa United is a great team" he said. 
 
Akwa United lost their Matchday 12 encounter to Heartland in Owerri by a lone goal. That defeat may have warranted Osho's decision. 

The Uyo club are languishing in the bottom half of the NPFL table, on  17th position.

 Osho joined Akwa United at the beginning of the current season after the expiration of his contract with Rivers United. He had coached Enyimba International, Remo Stars, Kogi United, Crown Ogbomosho among others.
