Organisers of the annual Manfes Pharmaceuticals/ Anambra State All Stars Competition have revealed that no fewer than 26 teams have so far submitted their registration document for this year's edition of the tournament, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

The organiser have also disclosed that it has extended the registration deadline to 9 May, 2025.

The tournament, which is in its second edition, is exclusively reserved for retired players who are above 40 years of age.

It has a winning star prize of N1.5m for the overall winners and N700, 000 for the runners-up just as the third place winner will receive a N500, 000 cash reward.

According to the organisers, there would be individual awards with the Best Goalkeeper, Most Valuable Player, MVP, Highest Goal Scorer, Most Disciplined Team receiving a cash reward of N50, 000 each.

The tournament is the initiative of the Anambra State Football Association Chairman, Chikelue 'General' Iloenyosi, to provide a platform for the retired players to reunite, re-engage and still remain relevant to the game.
