The Management of Abia Comets FC of Umuahia has parted ways with 21 players out of the 30 registered for the last football season.

It could be recalled that Abia Comets made history in the League when the went 12 matches unbeaten in the Nigerian League.

The Management of the team in its wisdom, has decided to flush out higher percentage of the players in preparation for the new season.

In a memo to the players, the Management appreciated the players for their services to the Club, and wishes them well in their future endeavors. 

The affected players were however advised to pick their  clearance papers on request.

The dropped players are:
