The Olubadan-In-Council don officially endorse former Oyo State Governor, Rashidi Ladoja, wey be Otun Olubadan, as the next 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.

 

Dem do the nomination for Olubadan Palace wey dey Oke-Aremo area inside Ibadan North Local Government, Oyo State. But Ladoja no dey the meeting when dem choose am.

 

As dem announce the new Olubadan, the Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Tajudeen Ajibola, talk say the council go soon forward Ladoja name go give Governor Seyi Makinde for final government approval.

 

According to Oba Ajibola, “The council believe say Ladoja go carry experience and wisdom enter the throne. As former governor wey know the people well well, he fit lead Ibadan enter better future.”

 

He also tok say under Ladoja leadership, dem dey expect peace and progress. “We dey sure say he go respect tradition and also carry modern ideas join to move Ibadan forward.”

 

Many Ibadan people don show happiness for the news, as dem believe say better change go follow the new king.

 

The official ceremony to present Ladoja to the public go happen after Governor Makinde confirm the nomination.

 

This new development come after the 21-day mourning wey follow the death of the late Olubadan, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, wey die on July 7, 2025, after just one year for throne. Olakulehin na the successor of Oba Dr. Mohood Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II, wey be the 42nd Olubadan.
