NWFL Premiership: Ogbonda Hails Bayelsa Queens' Performance in Draw with Rivers Angels"

Bayelsa Queens Technical Adviser, Whyte Ogbonda, has expressed his satisfaction with his team's performance in their 1-1 draw with Rivers Angels in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership Matchday five.
Ogbonda praised his players for adhering to the game plan and giving their all, despite coming from behind to secure a point. "Today, I'm so happy with the performance of my players as they played according to the game plan," he said.
Rivers Angels took the lead through Peace Effiong's 10th-minute goal, but Bayelsa Queens equalized in the 27th minute through Zainab Olapade. The visitors also had a penalty saved by goalkeeper Monle Omini, while Rivers Angels' Captain Ifeoma Paulinus hit the crossbar late in the game.
The draw keeps Bayelsa Queens top of the NWFL Group B log with 11 points and a +8 goal difference, while Rivers Angels are second with the same number of points but an inferior goal difference. Bayelsa Queens will host Naija Ratels in their next match on February 19, 2025.
