The National Sports Commission (NSC) has announced the official schedule for the 2025 National Youth Games, confirming Delta State as host of the much-anticipated multi-sport competition.

 

According to the NSC, the Games will run from August 26 to September 6, 2025, featuring the country’s top young athletes vying for medals, national recognition, and a place in Nigeria’s future sports history.

 

Preparations are already in full swing, with the Main Organizing Committee (MOC) and Local Organizing Committee (LOC) conducting inspections to certify venues and facilities meet the required standards.

 

The Pre-Delegation Registration Meeting (Pre-DRM) will be held on August 19–20, followed by the DRM proper from August 21–24, before the main tournament begins on August 26.

 

The NSC reaffirmed its commitment to staging a championship that will not only showcase Nigeria’s next generation of sports stars but also foster unity, discipline, and excellence through sport.
