NWFL 2024/25: Jenat Akekeromowei, Bolaji Olamide, Charlotte Adjei Shine as Individual Award Winners

Following Bayelsa Queens’ triumph as champions of the 2024/25 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL), the league has unveiled its individual award recipients, celebrating standout performances from a thrilling season.
Nasarawa Amazons forward Jenat Akekeromowei was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the season. Akekeromowei impressed fans and pundits alike with her clinical finishing, scoring 13 goals overall — including four crucial strikes during the Super Six playoffs.
Top Scorer honours went to Bolaji Olamide of Remo Stars Ladies, who found the net 15 times in 19 appearances, finishing the season as the league’s most prolific forward.
Remo Stars Ladies were further represented in the awards as Charlotte Adjei was crowned Best Goalkeeper of the Season, following a string of commanding displays between the posts. Her consistent brilliance was also recognized with a ₦200,000 cash prize from the Judith Chime Foundation, highlighting her impact throughout the campaign.
The individual accolades capped off an exciting NWFL season that showcased emerging talent and fierce competition, further reinforcing the league’s growing profile in African women’s football.
