Team UNIZIK Ladies on Monday, 10th November, 2025 defeated Team UNILAG Ladies by two unreplied goals to secure a place in the Quarter-finals of the female football event of the ongoing 2025 Nigerian University Games (NUGA) holding at the University of Jos (UNIJOS).

Cynthia Okoye's trademark goal from a free kick in the 25th minute gave the Ladies a deserved lead after a brilliant start in the early going holding on to the lead to see off the half.

In the second period, UNIZIK held on to the lead after missing a plethora of chances to take all the maximum points after a glorious finish from Chiamaka Okafor four minutes from time.

Team UNIZIK will aim to top the group when they take on University of Ibadan in their last group game on Tuesday to be played at the St. Augustine Major Seminary Katako, Jos, plateau State venue of the football event.
