Niger Tornadoes chief coach, Isiaka Iliyasu has confessed that his wards put every foot wrong in their NPFL/StarTimes Match day 34 encounter played at Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna on Sunday evening. 

Coach Iliyasu said their game plan was to snatch the maximum points against Kwara United but it wasn't a good day for his team.
"We prepared well for the match and the plan was the 3 points to elevate us from the position we are now, considering the fact that the league is coming to an end.

"But it was a bad day for us, and our fans also keow that. They all know the brand of football we have been playing . I thank God for the resilience of the boys"
The coach disagree with the notion that his boys underrated the Afonja Warriors after securing a draw away against Plateau United.
He disclosed that théy held talks with the boys before the match and told them how important the match is, that the three points meant a lot to the team than the draw against Plateau United.
" I know that the boys were prepared but like I said earlier, it was a bad day for us. We thank God we got a point, the one point is massive for us now, compared to loosing the whole three points," he sounded off with consolation.
Kwara United were on the verge of securing the maximum three points before Tornadoes snatch a late equaliser at the tail end of the match. 

The draw saw Kwara leapfrog Tornadoes to the eleventh position on the NPFL/StarTimes league table with 45 points while the Minna side is on 44 points and twelve position on the table.

NPFL/StarTimes: Our target is continental ticket - Ogunbote 

With just four games to the end of the NPFL/StarTimes 23/24 season , 3SC  gaffer, Gbenga Ogunbote has disclosed that the Oluyole Warriors want to end the season on a flourish. 

Ogunbote wards put up a scintillating second half performance to claim an emphatic 4-0 victory over Abia Warriors at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan on Sunday evening. 

The Oluyole Warriors are fourth on the log table with 56 points closely trailing Enyimba and Remo Stars who are on 59 points.

 The Oluyole Warriors have had a wonderful season under Ogunbote in the NPFL/StarTimes league. 

Ogunbote wards started the game well, bossing the possession from the blast of the whistle with Abiodun Ayobami as chief in tormentor of Abia Warriors.

Despite their spirited efforts in the first half, Shooting Stars failed to break the deadlock, as Abia Warriors kept a strong defense line and repelled everything that came their way.

In the second half, the Oluyole Warriors continued to pile the pressure, as they needed a win to keep their hopes of playing continental football alive.

In the 72nd minute, Alex Aghahowa opened the floodgates of goals scoring to put 3SC in the driving seat. 
 Malomo Taofeeq scored the second in the 81st minute. Then, three minutes later, veteran Premier League campaigner Christian Pyagbara scored the third for the Ibadan side.

Adam Mustapha wrapped up the scoring in stoppage time to ensure that it ended 4-0 for 3SC.

Ogunbote disclosed after the game that his players will continue to fight till the end. 

"We have come a long way and this is a big opportunity that we cannot allow to slip off our hand. 

"We all know what is at stake. We cannot afford to let this chance slip off our hand" 

"0ur target is to secure one of the Continental ticket. We are on course and by the grace of God we shall achieve our objective" he said 

The first three teams on the NPFL/StarTimes will  qualify for the CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup.
