The Chairman of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Honourable Gbenga Elegbeleye, has been appointed as a member of the Interim Management Board of the prestigious Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) Golf Club.

 

This appointment, along with that of other board members, was approved by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, according to a press release signed by Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication and Social Media.

 

Elegbeleye, a former member of the House of Representatives, is widely credited with spearheading the impressive resurgence of the NPFL. His leadership acumen and “midas touch” are expected to contribute significantly to the revitalization of the IBB Golf Club in this new role.

 

The board will be chaired by Dr. Peter Deshi, with Barrister Yomi Oyekola serving as Secretary. Other members include Arc. Nanwor Mamven, Arc. Arabi Bello, Mrs. Ekanem Ekwueme, Lawan Aboki, Okey Nnaedozie, Fred Otobo, and Julius Fadairo.

 

In his congratulatory message to the appointees, the FCT Minister urged them to work diligently towards repositioning the IBB Golf Club for greater excellence.

 

The newly appointed board is expected to assume duty immediately.
