Ahead of their matchday 3 duel against Shooting Stars FC of ibadan at the Lekan Salami stadium, Sunday Oct 15, Gombe United mercurial midfielder Emeka Isaac has expressed optimism over the chances of his side getting a positive result on the south west region of the country.
The Savanna scorpions still basking in the euphoria of their historic 2-0 victory over Enyimba fc on matchday 2 of the on-going NPFL season with goals from Chijioke Alaekwe and Ahmed Jimoh on either side of halftime are battle ready to contend with the Gbenga Ogunbote-led side as the north east based outfit are leaving no stone unturned come Sunday in ibadan.
Speaking in a telephone chat with ExclusiveNews.com, the vastly travelled defensive midfielder reiterates his team's readiness, stressing that they would consolidate on their matchday two victory over the defending champions to get the job brilliantly executed in ibadan.
"What we did in front of our supporters on matchday two against the People's Elephant wasn't a stroke of luck, we owed it to the fans, they came out enmasse to show us to throw their weight behind us at the pantami stadium, and we needed to reciprocate such gesture by securing the maximum points, and we did it in a historic manner. That was the first time Enyimba fell at the Pantami Stadium since 2014, definitely we'll replicate such performance against Shooting stars sport club of Ibadan on Sunday by the grace of God".
The Coach Babaganaru tinkered outfit makes a long distant journey to the south west part of the nation for a date with 3sc at the Lekan Salami stadium in what promises to be a feisty NPFL combat.
