Nollywood Actress Iheme Nancy Declares Unpaid Support for Peter Obi’s Political Ambitions

Popular Nollywood actress, Iheme Nancy, has publicly declared her unwavering support for former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, stating her readiness to campaign for him at any time—without expecting any form of payment.
In a passionate post shared via her Instagram page, the actress revealed that although she typically avoids political involvement, she is making an exception for Obi, whom she believes represents a hopeful future for her family and the next generation.
“I don’t usually do this, but I am going to campaign for Peter OBI anytime, any day,” she wrote. “If there’s any place I need to register for his campaign, please involve me because I will do it for free—for my unborn children, for my family, for my generation.”
Iheme also addressed the wave of criticism often directed at the former Anambra State governor, interpreting it as a sign that he may be on the right path.
“Why the hate???? That means he’s doing something right,” she added. “I don’t do politics, but I will involve myself 100% when it’s time.”
Her statement has sparked mixed reactions online, with many Nigerians applauding her courage, while others questioned the intersection of celebrity influence and political discourse.
Peter Obi, who ran as the Labour Party’s flag bearer in the 2023 presidential election, continues to enjoy significant support, particularly among Nigerian youths and public figures advocating for transparency and reform.
