“I no go even go court during the trial, even him mama no go go, unless court call us,” Malam Auwal talk.

 

The angry father insist say no need for long court case because the crime too heavy. E even allege say Umar don kill him younger sister years back and remove her eyes.

 

“I no even want make dem waste time dey prosecute am. Umar and people like am suppose die. Dem no suppose keep dem for prison dey feed dem with taxpayers’ money,” e add.

 

Malam Auwal praise the police for the way dem handle the case, say for him mind, e don already “sacrifice” him son. E still insist say neither him nor him wife go show for court throughout the trial.

 

Umar Auwal, wey dey police custody now, dey accused of killing him aunt, Fatima Abubakar, and her six children in broad daylight on Saturday.

 

The victims include Maimuna (17), Aisha (16), Bashir (13), Abubakar (10), Faruk (7) and Abdussalam wey be one-and-half years old.
