In recognition of his outstanding leadership as Chairman of the Nigerian National League (NNL) and his significant contributions to the development of sports in Imo State and across Nigeria, Mr. George Aluo has been nominated for the prestigious ‘Iconic Administrator of the Year Award’ by the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Imo State Chapter.

 

A nomination letter signed by Chairman Cosmas Chukwuemeka and Secretary Tunde Liadi highlighted Aluo’s transformative impact on the league and his ongoing support for both the association and the broader sports community. “Your selection for this award reflects Imo SWAN’s appreciation for your vital contributions to the promotion and growth of sports in Imo State and Nigeria, as well as your cordial relationship with our association,” the letter stated.

 

The award will be presented during the grand finale of Imo SWAN Week, scheduled for Saturday, November 16, at Rockview Hotel in Owerri, the Imo State capital.
