Nigerian forward Edna Imade extended her incredible scoring streak in Liga F on Saturday, finding the net in her sixth consecutive game to lead Granada to a 2-1 victory over UD Tenerife in Round 15 at Ciudad Deportiva del Granada.

Imade opened the scoring in the 39th minute, giving Granada a narrow lead at halftime. Four minutes into the second half, Ariadna Mingueza doubled the advantage, strengthening Granada’s control.

Despite UD Tenerife’s late resurgence, highlighted by a stoppage-time goal from Gift Monday, the effort was not enough to deny Granada the victory.

Imade’s goal marked her 11th in 15 appearances this season, further cementing her status as one of Liga F’s standout performers. Meanwhile, Monday, who now boasts seven goals in 13 matches, continues to impress as a reliable offensive force for Tenerife.

Before this encounter, both players were in scintillating form: Imade had scored Granada’s sole goal in their 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid, while Monday delivered a brace and an assist in Tenerife’s 5-1 rout of Deportivo La Coruña.

Granada’s victory propelled them to 6th place in the Liga F standings with 22 points, narrowly ahead of UD Tenerife, who remain in 7th with 20 points.

Looking ahead, Granada will aim to maintain their momentum in their next fixture against Eibar, while Tenerife will look to rebound against Madrid CFF.

Prior to the match, Imade was honored as Liga F’s Player of the Month for December, a testament to her remarkable form.

With both Edna Imade and Gift Monday proving pivotal for their teams, their performances will undoubtedly shape the second half of the season.
