Having narrowly lost to Inter Aba FC on matchday one during their NLO opener, Bright Stars FA engaged fellow matchday one Losers Jaguar FC with a dominant display in a contest that saw the ukpakiri based outfit reign supreme with a 4-1 drubbing. 

The Onslaught got underway pretty early in the 9th minute when lanky midfielder Prince Nwachukwu Rose highest to head home a well suing freekick by Chuks Roberts to give the coach Chijioke Osuagwu led stars an early lead. A scenario that set the perfect tone for the NLO debutants as they pressed on for more answers to a blistering interchange of passes which eventually yielded dividends midway into the first stanza as Chuks Roberts who earlier had provided the goal turned scorer with his trademark freekick, beating the helpless goalkeeper between the sticks for Jaguar FC. 

The surge continued for Bright Stars FA as they sought for the third goal having largely dominated proceedings whereas there opposition literally chased shadows up until the halftime break as they held on to a commanding lead.

The second half became much alive for the stars with renewed flashes of goal scoring opportunities which was eventually utilised by blonde haired winger Joshua Emmanuel who curled home a delightsome volley for the third-a goal that had the dejected goalkeeper writhing in pain whilst stretching to parry to safety which never yielded any fruition,as the medical personnels raced on to have him attended to amid dealing with the pains of the third goal conceded. 

The afternoon grew terribly worse for Jaguar FC when substitute Gladson Onyebuchi added the fourth for Bright Stars FA from a tight angle to deepen the woes of the Umuahia based side. A renewed effort to reducing the quartet of goals proved slightly possible for Jaguar FC in the 88th minute when midfielder Onuigbo Victor converted a spot-kick which was a mere consolation and Jaguar FC first goal of the season prior to the centre referee's full-time whistle as hostilities ended.

The NLO dream is still alive for Bright Stars FA as they seek to consolidate on their recent victory with a matchday 3 date against struggling Buberio FC- another lopsided victory for the shining stars envisaged already.
