It was all celebrations for Yoca Crocodiles at the Bwari Township Stadium, Abuja aftermath of their  victory over Kogi United in the Nation - wide League One first round playoff.

Yoca Crocodiles took the game to their opponent from the blast of the whistle and deservedly took the lead in the second minute when Hussaini Abdullahi Dida nodded home Aliyu Sugau's cross.

Kogi United almost equalized in the quarter hour mark through Anthony Jegede after he found himself free on goal, but Godwin Micheal made himself big to pull a brilliant save.

Yoca Crocodiles was presented with another scoring opportunity shortly after the hour mark when Lukman Ibrahim picked out Hayatu Aliyu, but the later couldn't connect with his weak foot.

Yoca Crocodiles dominated the opening stages of the second period and Sani Dan Bauchi thought he had extended his side's lead in the 62nd minute when his left footed effort was saved by the woods. With eighteen minutes left on the clock, Sani Dan Bauchi doubled Yoca's lead when he beats the offside trap, dribbled past the goalkeeper before slotting the ball into an empty net for his fourth goal of the campaign.

Kogi United rallied back into the game with less than ten minute of action remaining and cancelled out both goals before losing out in the lottery of penalties (7-8).

"Let me start by appreciating the spirited efforts the players and my assistant coaches. Kogi United are a very good and experienced side and it's the reason you can come back from two goals down to level up within the space of five minutes. I know what to do in our final playoff game for promotion to the NNL to avert same mistakes. The motivation and financial benefits we have enjoyed all through this journey have been massive. We stormed Bwari with about 300 supporters and you saw the impact they made on the boys. I appreciate Almighty Allah for this victory as NNL is gradually loading, Al Ameen Ibn Musa, Yoca Crocodiles Technical Adviser told Yoca media.
