Like Minds FC of Gwagwalada Abuja has appreciated the leadership of the Nigeria League One for the opportunity given to the team to be part of the NLO Cup just ended. 

According to the Chairman of the Club Babatunde Akintade, "After our results , we realized how important a goal can be in this game called soccer. How the trajectory of a cause can be altered by conceding just a goal. 

" We were honoured to be one of the sixteen teams invited to this prestigious off-season tourney and we came fully prepared to show the world what we've got" . 

Continuing, the legal luminary said "although things did not go as we would have really wanted, yet we are super proud of our all round performances" . 

"Scoring a whopping ten goals in three matches ( the only team to do that in the group stages ) is a thing of pride, and a testament of the hard work the coaches have put in to ensure we make Gwagwalada and the FCT proud" . 

"We would like to appreciate everyone who showed support before, during, and after our games. We could feel the passion though we're miles apart". 

"It's so sad the journey ended this way but we are proud of how well we've performed and the feedback we've gotten from everyone of you. Names are too numerous to mention at the moment, but all we want to say is, thank you so much" he concluded. 

He promised that the team will return back to training with the positives of the NLO Cup, to prepare for a better next season.
