The president of fast rising Buberio FC of Umunneochi Mr Oluebube Chukwu has stated emphatically the reason for the formation of the recently birthed Buberio FC, while also stressing that the football club is a work in progress.

Speaking to Exclusivenews.com via a phone conversation, the Umunneochi born football administrator exuded delight  in the team's recent participation at the just concluded NLO One season amid the myriads of in-house challenges which bedevilled the team prior to the commencement of their debut NLO experience. 

"Most certainly I'm thrilled and optimistic that this project would hit the limelight in no distant time, our participation at the NLO One is a testament to clarity of vision and pursuit of it, considering how young the team has been. A team that was formed on the 28th of January 2024, hurriedly assembled the technical crew because of some unforseen footings which had, in a bid to meet up with time because of the competition, players were also hurriedly assembled. I must commend these guys for their show of character and determination, we finished 8th on the log ahead of some teams and i have to commend the boys for rising to the occasion when it mattered".

The young philanthropist also affirmed his unwavering willingness to support and develop football within the confines of Umunneochi community and Abia State generally while declaring that the Buberio FC project is designed to discover talents and nurture them to greatness  thereby creating a viable environment for football developmental programme. 

"This project is predicated on professionalism from the beginning, I ensured and saw the need to get it right during the planning. For instance, in the coming weeks when the state league kicks off, Buberio FC would be a cynosure of all eyes with the kind of concept we've been able to come up with, we need to give the boys all that's required for them to give their optimum best in terms of performance because our target is to participate in the NNL next season and the requirements for that is what we are trying to assemble one after he other. We have a befitting camp at Umunneochi, our new coaster bus is ready, our training and matchday kits exemplifies what we stand for, we have a standard already, and that we must surely defend" the young football administrator concludes!

In the aftermath of their debut NLO season and having not picked the solitary ticket from the Umuahia centre for the playoffs, Buberio FC now shifts focus to the State's League which gets underway in a matter of weeks, and they would be hoping to redress the balance as they seek to better their performance at the just concluded NLO season. 

It's a tale of Buberio FC of Umunneochi, a vision geared towards excellence,defying the odds, embellished with doggedness and resilience as a rewritten chapter of football development in Umunneochi community is about to unfold, with sumptuous pages ready to be flipped, thanks largely to the benevolence of Mr Oluebube Chukwu.
