Sad news don hit Catholic community as Nigerian priest Michael Oli suddenly collapse and die for United States.

According to report, the priest slump while him dey take walk on Thursday, March 26, 2026. Catholic Diocese of Awka later confirm the sad incident for statement wey dem release on Friday.

For the statement wey Chancellor, Charles Nubisi sign, dem talk say before him death, Fr. Oli dey serve as Administrator of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church for Faith, South Dakota. Dem also note say dem ordain am as priest on August 23, 2008.

Further confirmation come from Scott Bullock of the Rapid City Diocese, wey describe the incident as sudden and shocking.

“At this point, we no know the cause of death, only say he never dey feel well,” the bishop talk.
