Nigeria Volleyball Federation 2025 Super Cup Kicks Off with Dominant Day 1 Performances
The 2025 Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) Super Cup tipped off in emphatic fashion on Day 1, with teams delivering commanding performances across the men’s and women’s categories.
In the men’s event, Nigeria Correctional Service recorded a straight-sets victory over Ajase Ipo, winning 3–0 in a closely contested encounter. The sets ended 28–26, 25–17, and 25–23, with the Correctional Service team showing composure at key moments to secure the win.
Also in the men’s category, Nigeria Customs Service cruised to a 3–0 win against Life Camp, taking the sets 25–21, 25–18, and 25–23 to open their campaign on a strong note.
The women’s matches saw equally dominant displays. COAS Spikers defeated Fire Service 3–0, winning the sets 25–21, 25–12, and 25–16, as they asserted their superiority throughout the match.
In the most one-sided encounter of the day, CNS Spikers overwhelmed Excelsior with a comprehensive 3–0 victory, recording identical 25–0 scores in all three sets. The result was attributed to Excelsior’s inability to field a complete team, which significantly affected the contest.
Day 1 of the Super Cup set the tone for an exciting competition, with defending sides and early favourites making strong statements as the tournament progresses.
