The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has said that Nigeria is receiving increased respect on the global stage under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Speaking on Friday after attending Jumaat prayers at a mosque on Yahaya Road in Kaduna, Idris stated that the country is steadily reclaiming its position internationally. According to him, the reforms introduced by President Tinubu, though challenging, are designed to benefit all Nigerians in the long run.

“Nigeria is indeed taking its rightful place. The country is respected more than ever before on the international scene,” he said.

The minister also addressed ongoing security concerns, particularly referencing recent bomb attacks in Maiduguri, Borno State. He assured citizens that the government is working tirelessly to prevent a recurrence of such incidents and to restore peace across the country.

Idris called on Nigerians to remain calm and supportive of government efforts, emphasizing the importance of collective responsibility in addressing national challenges. He also urged citizens to remain prayerful during what he described as a critical period for the nation.

“This is a time for reflection for all Nigerians. We must come together, regardless of religion or background, to promote unity, progress, and national development,” he added.

The minister concluded by stressing that while Nigeria continues to gain international recognition, strengthening internal unity remains essential for sustainable growth and stability.
