Team Nigeria's football team suffered a narrow defeat in the semi-finals of the 2024 African Military Games, losing 1-0 to Cameroon. The only goal of the game was scored in extra time, after the match had ended goalless at the end of regulation time.

In the other semi-final match, Algeria dominated Equatorial Guinea, winning 2-0. The results set up a final showdown between Cameroon and Algeria on Saturday, while Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea will compete for third place.

The 2nd edition of the African Military Games (AMGA 2024) features 1,625 athletes from 21 African countries, competing in 20 different events from November 18 to November 30.
