Nigeria's men's football team secured a bronze medal at the 2024 Africa Military Games in Abuja on Saturday, defeating Equatorial Guinea 4-0 in the bronze medal match.

The host team's victory came after a narrow 1-0 loss to Algeria in the semi-finals, which was decided in extra time. The men's football event at the Games featured four teams: Nigeria, Algeria, Cameroon, and Equatorial Guinea.

Algeria went on to win the gold medal, edging out Cameroon in the final. Meanwhile, Nigeria maintained its top spot on the medals table, with a total of 73 medals comprising 37 gold, 21 silver, and 15 bronze medals. Algeria trails behind with 20 gold, three silver, and three bronze medals.
