NFF Launches CAF B-License Coaching Course to Enhance Nigerian Coaches’ Skills

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced plans to organize a four-month CAF B-License Coaching Course aimed at equipping Nigerian coaches—both men and women—with the skills needed to tackle modern coaching challenges effectively.

NFF Technical Director, Augustine Eguavoen, revealed that the course is part of the Federation’s strategic effort to enhance coaching capacity nationwide. Scheduled to run from April 7 to August 25, 2025, the program will be delivered in multiple modules.

To qualify for the course, applicants must meet the following requirements:

    •    Be an active coach with a CAF C-License certificate obtained within the last two years.
    •    Be proficient in reading and writing in English.
    •    Possess basic computer skills and have a laptop.
    •    Hold a valid Gmail account.
    •    Submit a medical certificate proving physical and mental fitness.

Eguavoen also noted that only 25 participants will be admitted to the course. Successful applicants must complete a pre-course assessment and pay a fee of ₦500,000 by March 31, 2025 to confirm their participation.

Last year, the NFF broke new ground by organizing Nigeria’s first-ever CAF C-License coaching course exclusively for women. The program ran from July to September 2024, with 30 women coaches, including several former Nigeria internationals, completing the three-module course.

The upcoming CAF B-License Coaching Course underscores the NFF’s commitment to building a robust coaching workforce to drive football development in the country.
