Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, President of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, will enter the record books as the first NFF boss to grace the 40th edition of the famous Nanka Champions League final holding at Neros Stadium, Nanka, 1 Januaey, 2024, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

Similarly, Prof Polly Emenike has entered the Guinness book of records as the first individual, even amongst corporate outfits to sponsor a tournament for as long as 40 years and still counting.

Consequently, the Neros Pharmaceuticals Company Chief Executive has deemed it expediently fit to drag the NFF President to Nanka to be a part of the 2023 Final of the championship.

Exclusivenews.com.ng reports that Gusau, who will be be flying out to Ivory Coast soon after for the 2023 AFCON finals that kicks off on 13 January, 2024, arrived the Chinua Achebe Airport, Awka, on Sunday 31 January, 2023, ahead Monday's epic final match.

It's on record that Prof Emenike is also the proud sponsor of the Anambra FA Cup, a sponsorship that has lasted for well over the decades.

In dragging the NFF boss to the 2023 Nanka Champions League final, Prof Polly Emenike wants to add value to the beautiful game in his community, ensure the NFF boss enjoyed the serene atmosphere of Nanka as well as its hospitality and as well encourage youths in the community to take active part in football.

Prof Emenike had recently sponsored an U17 football Championship organised by the Youth Sports Feseration of Nigeria, YSFON.

Keeping the N3.1m Nanka Champions League financially on stream for 40 years is a clear indication of Prof Emenike's love and passion for the game of football.

Nkpor Branch will slug it out with their Umuahia Branch counterpart in Mondays epic final clash with the eventual winner smiling home with a princely sum of N1.5m while the runners-up will pocket N900, 000, just as the third place team will go home with N600, 000 and N100, 000 for the fourth place team respectively, according to the organisers.
